Sweet Tooth

I am grateful for the passion that exists between Alicia and me. I feel alive and vibrant and strong when I hold her. I feel like she is a gift to me and I am a gift to her. I am grateful for the coffee in my cup this morning. It awakens me and gives me pleasure. It provides good things for my body in moderation. I am grateful for the ability to moderate the good things in my life to allow me a life of health and sobriety. I am grateful for the ability to accept what I cannot change; the courage to change what I can change; and the wisdom to know the difference. I am grateful for chocolate and all of the "sweetness" in my life that provides pleasure beyond subsistence living. Though we live in the middle world - a world of "tooth and claw," I have more. I am grateful I can have a life and not just a living. For these gifts and the life I have as a result of them, I give thanks.
